A Golfer's Paradise

Sunday, Ryan and I went and played golf at Ria Bintan Golf Resort in Bintan, Indonesia. We were accompanied by 2 other guys that work for NOV and live in Singapore as well. Bintan is just a 45 minute ferry ride from Singapore. The golf course sits on the South China Sea and as you will see in the pictures, the views are breath taking! We were all pretty rusty in our golf games (Bogey, Double Bogey, Mulligan all would have been frequent terms had we chosen to keep score) but we had a great time anyway.

Our Home Sweet Home

We finally received our sea freight 2 weeks ago and have been busy trying to put everything in it's place. It's been fun re-opening all of our wedding gifts and actually enjoying them! We still have a ways to go before the apartment is totally decorated and fully furnished but it will get there!

The living room.

Our rustic/distressed buffet! We couldn't pass up this one of a kind buffet! It didn't have a matching table but we are confident we will find something to go with it!

The view of the pool from our balcony.

The pool.

The gym! It over looks the koi pond below.

We try to go down everyday and feed the fish. We have named them all!

In other news...my job search is in full swing! I have applied at a hand full of places and have had two interviews! I should hear back this week. Keep your fingers crossed that something works out, I am ready for a routine again!

Also, we have booked our honeymoon! We will be traveling to Bali, Indonesia at the beginning of May! We are looking forward to our long weekend get-a-way!

Flowers for Becky

Today I went to the Botanic Gardens and National Orchid Garden to take pictures for my wonderful mother-in-law, Becky (she has an empty frame she wanted to fill with pictures of the beautiful greenery and flowers in Singapore) Here are some of my favorites.

A Good Friday

Friday, Ryan had the day off so we headed down to East Coast Park to ride bikes along the beach! This isn't exactly Ryan's idea of "fun" but he was trooper and even though he may not admit it, I think he enjoyed it! :-)

We rode out onto a fishing pier and found this cute little fisherman! (He did smile real big for me but I took too long to take the picture!)
